How To Read Tehillim To Help Heal The Sick

There are 3 ways you can choose to read Tehillim for the sick. This site quickly helps you prepare all 3 options.

The first step is to spell out the Hebrew name of the person. For the option you choose, we will provide the proper Tehillim and Berachot based on the gender and name entered below.

Please provide the Hebrew names. (English may be substituted for the short version only. The Standard version and Long version requires Hebrew only to properly create the reading.)

Now choose the option of your choice:

Short Version - the reading takes about 3 minutes

Read Chapter 20 of Tehillim, followed by a short 6 line prayer that includes the name of the sick person.

Recite the following nine perakim of Tehillim: 20, 30, 32, 86, 88, 91, 103, 142, and 130.
After reciting the above 9 perakim, read the pesukim in Chapter 119 corresponding to the person’s name. Afterwards, read the short 6 line prayer that includes the name of the sick person.

Longer Version - the reading takes about 35 minutes

Recite the following 37 perakim of Tehillim: 20, 6, 9, 13, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 25, 30, 31, 32, 33, 36, 37, 38, 39, 41, 49, 55, 56, 69, 86, 88, 89, 90, 91, 102, 103, 104, 107, 116, 118, 142, 143, 128.
